Description

Athana Sambhar (Pickle Masala) is a tongue‐tickling spice blend with the dominant flavour of mustard seeds & fenugreek seeds. The process of powdering each spices separately & mixing is very important to get the right mouth‐feel.

Athana Sambhar is used as an accomplishment for Dal, Parathas, Theplas & Rotis. The warmth of the Athana Sambhar on your taste buds is a joy to experience , especially during the winter & monsoon day.

RECIPE:

  • Boil the 500g oil and keep aside to cool.
  • Wash the mangoes (1 kg) and dry them completely. Peel the skin of the mangoes and then cut them into small pieces.
  • Marinate the mango pieces with turmeric powder and salt.
  • Keep overnight, remove the water and dry in sunshine or under fan.
  • Marinate the mango pieces with Take a bowl, add the mango pieces, 200g Aliz Pickle Masala.,250gm jaggery and mix well.
  • Add the oil and store in a jar.
  • After two days its ready to eat Sweet Mango Pickle.
