Sambhar Masala

Description

Aliz Sambar Masala is a classic spice blend commonly used in South Indian cuisines.This masala is made with a combination of ingredients gredients that enhances the aroma and taste bringing out the best flavor of the sambar dish.

Sambhar can be had with rice as a South Indian does it almost everyday, or with Idlis, dosa, Wadas etc. Sambhar, especially with Idlis has gained universal acceptance in India, and is considered as an excellent diet food.

Rs.10 &  50g (Box Pack) , 100g & 500g (Jar Pack)

Cooking Instruction:

  1. Cook 100 gm pigeon peas (Toovar Dal/Arhar Dal) for 30 min.Boil it with pieces of drumstick, brinjal, pumpkin and onions.
  2. Add 2 tbsp of thick tamarind juice, Chilli powder and salt to taste.Add 1 heaped tbsp of Aliz Sambhar Masala.
  3. For the Baghar/Tadka, heat 2 tsp oil, and 1 red chilli, 1/4 tsp fenugreek, 1/2 tsp mustard seeds, 2 sprigs of curry leaves and a pinch of asafoetida.
  4. Add Baghar/Tadka to the mixture, Boil for 2 min. Serve hot with dhosas/idlis/uttapams for authentic flavour.
